your HR is going to do what it’s going to do. you have to work that muscle into shape. those 170s avgs look high - is that good data or noise (look on the chart of your polar/garmin download)? what is your max HR?
everyone tells me to increase my cadence on the bike… did it help your run feel better/faster?

I find that if I start spinning in a high gear for a few minutes before the transition, it makes it easier to start running. Actually I typically start out running FASTER than I normally run simply because my legs still want to “spin” at the same cadence! Also, the more bricks you do, the easier the transition becomes! Good luck in your training and your next tri!
